I'm so glad you enjoyed the article and best wishes to you with having a happy, healthy balance in your life while you keep ona jugglin' :)

Hiya Jules (Julia :)), fellow procrastinator! So glad you liked the parts about doing the ugly jobs and having a good talking to that inner perfectionist. I have to watch myself carefully for these stumbling blocks or they really do trip me up.

As for lists, I have to confess - I'm so sad that I'll sometimes add things to my lists that I've already done! It's great for the moral when your feeling a bit frustrated with your progress. The list is just for me so why not if it helps me to recognise I'm actually achieving some of my goals? I'm always juggling much, like so many of us, so anything that reminds me that forward momentum is actually happening is well worth while. :)

Linda,

So glad you enjoyed reading about how I get myself back on track :) I'm a professional procrastinator from way back who gets distracted by almost everything! It's a wonder I get any work done some days - lol. And then I surprise myself, and work through my stuff, and get so much done it leaves me feeling gratified and inspired to keep on going.

And yep, I'd sure enjoy some more helping hands around the place, though, I have learnt to take advantage of the breaks away from my artwork. I use the time to think my way through each piece at least as much as I actually paint my way through it.

I enjoyed this article because I appreciate tips to stay on track. There are so many things we all juggle in a day. It's good to get clear on your objectives.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Rebecca (Bex!) What a great article. I'm also a Procrastination Queen, and I enjoyed reading about your struggles and triumphs. My mom is the ultimate list-maker and I used to hate lists. Fast-forward from the time when I was the child to the time that I'm now the mother - I get it completely!

So super-important are Doing The Ugly Jobs and Telling Your Inner Perfectionist to Pipe The Freak Down. Those were my favorite parts and a very good reminder.

Okay, onto my canvas now. Have a very creative day!

Well written Beck...and so true! I can relate to a lot of this! If I had my way I would have a cleaner, a maid, and a gardener so that I could spend more time developing and exploring my creative side and splashing paint around all day long...alas not to be..:)
Time seems to speed up and I am sure the days are getting shorter. Some great suggestions here for us to improve in many areas I enjoyed the read. .best wishes Linda
